Video for Customer Success

As customer success continues to play an increasingly important role in retaining clients and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction, video is becoming an increasingly popular tool among Cx teams.

In the latest episode of TVR (we’re trying it out, okay?), Ben and Justin discuss the merits of using video in your customer success strategy and explore some best practices. Plus, they welcome another new sponsor!

TikTok Teases Social Commerce Capabilities [MarketingLand]

At Storyboard Media, we are totes down with the TikTok, homeslice [nailed it]. Which is why the social network’s move to add shoppable links for select accounts could prove to be a video marketing gamechanger in the near future.

But hey, we don’t do it for the ca$h money! We just like to Tok it up with our fellow kids for the fun of it [flawless].

How to Step Up Your Video Marketing Campaign Before 2020 [Digital Information World]

6 out of 10 people prefer watching online videos instead of television. That number, from Digital Information World’s Video Marketing Statistics for 2020 sure got our attention.

Now, how they’ve already managed to pull stats from 2020 is unclear –– and frankly, super questionable –– but we’ll have to save that conversation for another newsletter.

2019 Holiday Video Marketing Trends [Animoto]

Animoto surveyed 1000 consumers and 500 businesses about their holiday shopping behavior and discovered a few interesting insights, including the view that Facebook is still the most effective social media platform for marketers.

To be fair, all businesses surveyed were retirement homes and all consumers were residents of said retirement homes. But insightful nonetheless!

15 Marketing Strategy Tips to Improve Your Customer Experience [Forbes]

If you manage to dig through the half-dozen banner ads that pop up on the page, you can actually find some pretty good advice for engaging customers and earning their long-term loyalty in these marketing strategy tips for improving your customer experience from the Forbes Communication Council.

It’s a nice complement to this week’s podcast episode [see above], which definitely does not suffer from having too many ads.
