Google Introduces “In This Video” Search Feature
[Search Engine Land]

This week, Google introduced a new search feature that certainly caught our attention. In search results, the “in this video” feature produces a section below a video which shows you sub-sections of the video and gives you an opportunity to skip ahead to that frame so you can get the answer to your query more quickly.

It’s one small step for Google that could prove to be one giant skip ahead for video-kind.






Video Marketing Tops List of Marketers’ Priorities, Voice Search Ranks Low [Marketing Land]

From the magical land of marketing comes new information about digital marketers’ priorities when it comes to creating marketing strategies. Not surprisingly, video tops the list for both B2B and B2C marketers.

At the bottom of the list? You guessed it: Frank Stallone.

Fanta Shifts Marketing Dollars

Donchu-wanta… wanta-know what Fanta is doing with their marketing budget this year? You hadn’t really thought about it? Not at all? Fair enough.

But the news that the Coca-Cola brand is shifting all of its global ad dollars from TV to video and over-the-top services could prove to be a bellwether for other consumer products. Now you wanta, donchu?

Even if people don’t take direct action immediately after seeing a video ad, there is still a halo effect associated with video, argues David Rodnitzky for Think with Google, and that can have big implications throughout the marketing funnel.
